I do not know much about the history of Swift Optical, but they are still in business.
Now, they manufacture microscopes and weather instruments.

Swift started importing from Japan in 1960. The earliest serial number I have seen is 60002 - a Swift 839 60mm. The earliest Swift 831 has a serial number of 60129. The earliest Swift 838 (500/700mm) is 60218. So it looks like the Swift telescopes made in 1960 have the year a manufacture as the first two numbers and the last three numbers show the order they were made.

The 1960 Swift 831 has a sliding lens shield and after 1960, they had helical lens shields. Only the 1960 831 had a rectangular label on the focuser and mine has a different scope on the back of the label!

裏表に印字されているのは、ラベルを使いまわしていたのでしょうか。

ラベルの∞マークについては、マクロ光学工業だと推測します。
(もしかしたら日本テレスコープ)
日本テレスコープのマークは不明です。(= AVA ?)

①　アストロ光学工業　 R-60　?
　　f=1600mmで鏡筒が長いです。
　　ここの部分を引き伸ばしたのでしょうか?

②　アストロ光学工業
　　赤道儀のフレキシブルハンドルの形状の変化と、
　　直棒からフレキシブルハンドルにいつ変わったのかについては
　　とても興味があります。

focal length of1600mmと書かれていますよ(＠_＠;)
びっくり仰天です！
さらにバローレンズ付属でPowers to 800X！！
小島修介氏亡き後、誰かが高倍率路線で暴走したのではないかと思います（笑）

私が知る限り日本のアストロ光学でバローレンズが標準装備はありませんでした。
Or4mm付属で400Xっていうのはありましたけど。

60年代にR73というのがあってD76mmでf1400mmでしたが、これはさらに上を行ってますね（汗）
筒が長すぎて箱に入らないので、分解して格納するようになっていたのでしょう。
恐ろしく長いフレキハンも驚きです！

この赤道儀はS-5と同じ物ですね。
エイコー77mm（831）用の物と同じ会社で販売しているのは初めて見ました。

マクロ光学のマークにも、アストロと同じくシュミットレンズがありますね。
シュミットカセグレンでも作る計画があったのでしょうか？

下のほうに見える反射経緯台も面白いです。
筒のデザインはLN-4Eに似ていますが、f1000mmではなく700mmです。
しかも屈折用と思われるヘンな経緯台に載っていて、鏡筒が逆さに付いていて蟻の観察用になっています(~_~;)

PS;もう一度良く見たら、

との事ですので、左上の831だけSWIFTと明記されていますが、他は違うブランドのようですね。
問題の超長焦点はATLASとなっていますが、これはブランド名ではなくこの機種のペットネームでしょう。
（831のペットネームはMERCURYですね）
ブランド名が明記されていないので、いわゆる「無印良品」？
それとも全部SWIFT？
SWIFTにしては下のほうにヘンなのが多すぎます。
